We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager to join our team. This individual should be highly motivated, proactive and a master of details who can also understand the bigger picture. The position will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information and will assist with maintaining quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
To be successful in this role, the candidate should understand general accounting principles. The candidate should also be able to multi?task and meet a constant stream of deadlines. From time?to?time, there may be special projects, with the goal of maximizing resources, streamlining processes and improving efficiency within the accounting department and firm. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can contribute beyond the listed responsibilities and be a dynamic member of the team and the firm. The position will report to the CFO.
Responsibilities & Duties
Ensure timely and accurate quarterly and year-end close processes.
Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
Prepare and own the annual budget and financial forecasts.
Provide support to the management team in the evaluation of M&A opportunities.
Oversee and gain a thorough understanding of the revenue and accounts receivable processes.
Prepare and gather materials for annual financial audits.
Provide leadership for maintaining the company’s ERP and other business information systems.
Review and approve semi-monthly payroll for all locations.
Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
Maintain, review and update assigned general ledger account reconciliations.
Assist in financial statement preparation through performing consolidating journal entries and by maintaining the trial balances of parent and subsidiary entities.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration. CPA designation preferred.
4+ years of experience in public accounting or in a corporate accounting role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products with an advanced knowledge of Excel.
Knowledge of the Investment industry.
Experience with cloud-based ERP systems
