Under administrative direction, performs responsible administrative and supervisory work in planning, organizing, coordinating and directing the financial activities of the City of Superior. The position is responsible for the city officer duties of treasurer and comptroller as established by Wisconsin Statutes § 62.09 (9) & (10). The position performs as the administrative head of the Finance Department and the Information Services Division.
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting and ten years of progressively responsible accounting and auditing related experience is required, in addition to Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and the ability to obtain a license as a certified public accountant with the State of Wisconsin. Three years of government and fund accounting, an MBA, and/or CGFM credentials are desirable.
Additional Salary Information: The starting salary range is approximately $98,530-$106,725 based on level of education & experience as it relates to the qualifications.
